If you want to travel in a more comfortable way you have several bus options that run through the emblematic areas of the city.
For those arriving from Lisbon, you need to take the metro to the train station or the bus station, and then get a ticket to the city of Coimbra.
For those arriving at Porto airport, you have to take the metro to Campanhã station, and then travel to Coimbra.
To get out of the airport just take the metro ("Violet" line) and go to Campanhã Station or Campo 24 agosto bus station.

From Coimbra it is possible to reach several emblematic cities in the North of Portugal, such as Porto and Braga, in just over 1 hour.
The train station of Coimbra is about 1.5km from the center of Coimbra.
You can also choose to use the Alfa Pendular that runs the route Porto-Lisboa, with passage through Coimbra.
At Oriente Station in Lisbon, you will find several options for Coimbra.
By Bus Coimbra receives daily bus from various points of the country, being considered the "gateway" in the Center area. The large number of students who access this means of transport to and from Coimbra has led to the creation of many routes that pass and leave this city. From here it is possible to take several expresses to Fátima, Nazaré, Alcobaça and Batalha. It is still possible to travel to Évora arriving in the city in the late afternoon.
For those who come from Porto, Braga or Guimarães, the trip lasts about 2 hours. It should be noted that, at the end of the school year, certain schedules are deleted.
